When this page applies

This is not a move-in rekey and it is not a break-in hardware restore. Move-in ownership is rekey after moving. If the door or lock was damaged and needs new hardware, see lock change after a break-in.
Rekey, replace, or a different job
Rekeying keeps sound hardware and changes which key works. Replacing the lock is a different job when the cylinder or the door hardware should not stay. Read rekey vs replace for that distinction, then rekeying locks for the general service.
What we do on site
We look at the cylinders, rekey the ones you authorize, and cut new keys. We quote before work. Tell us how many exterior doors are involved, including a garage-to-house door if that lock uses the same keys.
Authorization
We work for the person with authority over the home. If you rent, say so when you call so we know who can approve the rekey.
